DioGenix' Mission

DGx was founded on a simple premise: that complex diseases result from alterations in human biology that can only be reliably diagnosed and monitored by measuring a panel of markers that are coordinately dysregulated. This has been demonstrated repeatedly over the past ten years by the DGx management team, who have applied the company’s technology platform to identify and validate a variety of “gene signatures.”

DGx has chosen to initially focus its efforts on neurology, based on a comprehensive, market-driven approach. As the company engaged key clinical thought leaders, it became apparent that a unique opportunity exists to improve the inaccurate and inefficient management of a number of important neurological diseases due to their complex nature. This disease complexity is well-suited to the company’s product development strategy, based on the analysis of comprehensive genomic datasets to elucidate the molecular mechanisms underlying disease. DGx is applying its core strengths in sophisticated diagnostic model building to expand its proprietary knowledgebase of neurological disease biology with targeted follow-on studies. This baseline of neurological biology is just the beginning of DGx robust empirical process, which instead of pre-selecting markers from the public domain allows DGx to in parallel develop a battery of tests that will provide patients and clinicians more personalized information about complex, hard-to-diagnose diseases. MS is merely the first of these programs.
